Beautiful Like This

Sometimes I wonder, what makes God so interested in me? When I look up to the skies and see the countless stars, the bright moon, the powerful sun, the majesty of the clouds, and the rest of His creation, I think to myself, "Wow, how beautiful are the creations that God has made. Their beauty are matchless!!". Then, I look into the mirror & see a reflection of myself and I wonder "How can He look at me as if I'm BEAUTIFUL?"


I look at myself in the mirror & naturally, there are things that I wanna change about how I look. And if I look deeper into myself, I find out things about myself that I'm not proud of. There's no way in a million years I would think that I'm good enough, what more "beautiful"? So, how can Jesus look at me and say that I am beautiful in His eyes?


It's not because of anything that I've done or could ever do. It's because Jesus makes ALL things new. It's because He has made me new that I can be called BEAUTIFUL despite all my imperfections. It's BECAUSE what Jesus has done on the CROSS that I can be made WHOLE. 


So now, I always remind myself of my WORTH in Jesus. Because I understand that in Him, I am a NEW creation...and a BEAUTIFUL one indeed.
