All because of HIS LOVE...

"...I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness." (Jeremiah 31: 3)

I'm finally 18 today! Yay! Haha...I've been thinking quite a lot today. Why does everyone like celebrating birthdays so much? We know that birthdays are special but what's so special about them anyways? Well, it's important because we celebrate the LIFE of the person. It shows how happy we are that the person was born on that day.

It makes me think of my life as well. Then I look back and I remember the moment my life BEGAN. My life didn't begin on the day I was born; but on the day I accepted Christ into my life 2 years ago. It was the day I was born again into Christ's family. This caused me to think about what actually had drawn me to Christ in the first place.

When I first got invited to my friend's church, I was skeptical about my friend's intentions. I wondered why everyone treated me so nicely. At the back of my mind I was thinking, "These Christians must have a motive in treating me so nicely. They must want to convert me into a Christian." But somehow I kept going back to church. I've wondered many times why I kept going back there. I soon realized that it was His LOVE that kept pulling me back. Since God loved us so much, we are called to love one another as well. I now understand why they treated me with so much love at that time.

So, it was His LOVE for me that had drawn me to Him. It was because He LOVED me FIRST that I was able to loved Him in return. It says, "This is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." (1 John 4: 10) It was all because of His love for ME that I am now able to love others around me.

"No words can describe how much I thank you Lord. Lord I pray that just as you have shown me LOVE, I am able to love others as well. Make me a blessing to the people around me and use me to show your great LOVE to others. In Jesus' name, Amen."

"Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." (1 John 4: 11)

God bless.
