BEAUTY REDEFINED

A watermelon on itself is nothing spectacular & how people view it doesn't makes it significantly more beautiful than what it looks like.
However, what really makes it BEAUTIFUL is HOW the "master" of the watermelon wants it to be used.
As common as it goes: made into juice, used to play "Watermelon Piñata" or simply be sliced to make refreshments after meals. It is only when the master looks BEYOND the "outer layer" of the watermelon & carves it into the beauty that she visualizes that makes it a work of art.

In life, beauty is not just about what we are born as or how we look like, nor is it just 'in the eye of the beholder'. It is MORE than that. It is how we look beyond SKIN DEEP, & decide to let our live to be used by our MASTER; allowing God to "carve" the patterns on our "watermelons"; that makes us TRULY beautiful. When we allow God to be the Master of our lives & see in His perspective, the beauty that He wants to make us into that our beauty is REDEFINED. We can be just another slice of watermelon or we could choose to be "carved" into a MASTERPIECE.

(P.S. I got this photo from my friend Charis who asked me to help her friend think of ideas of a theme for this photo for a competition. Another friend of mine, Shaun, inspired me with the idea that leads to this. This is a revised version of what I originally wrote.)

Hope you are blessed by it.
