My 20th with Jayesslee!!

It was my 20th birthday 2 days ago & I would say that I've been blessed with so so SO much this year! I just wanna thank God for EVERYTHING that He has done in my life. He has blessed me with not only the things that I need, but by His grace the things that I want. I don't usually want things for myself very badly. But this year when I heard that Janice & Sonia a.k.a Jayesslee were coming to Malaysia & the concert was on my BIRTHDAY, it was for the first time ever that I wanted to go for a concert so badly that I actually spent money to go!! LOL! Just wanna thank God for VERY supportive friends who helped me so much to win a photo contest on FB to be able to attend Jayesslee's press conference. 650++ likes in just 4 days!! Wow,you guys are just incredible!

I went to the Curve  for Jayesslee's photograph session on the 21st,one day before the concert. I got my guitar signed by them! Woohoo! Was incredibly nervous when I saw them that I didn't know what to say. Everything went so fast I forgot to ask to take a picture until the next person came in. LOL! Well there was one thing that I realized after that night. Although I was super happy getting to meet them and getting my guitar signed, I felt some feeling of "emptiness" in my heart still.

I realized that I felt "empty" inside because all I was merely another fan to them. I love them not just because they're talented but because they've touched my life when I was once very very spiritually & emotionally down. God used them to impact my life & got back on track with Him. However, I have not made any impact whatsoever in their lives. My life has not encouraged them not impacted them the very least. That was when I realized that I had to share my life's story with them in hopes that I can at least be a little blessing to them. I made them a card(a simple one cuz it was so last minute.LOL) & 2 strawberry lollies. I wanted to pass it to them right after the press conference but the crew there asked me to go out since I wasn't from 8tv. So,I passed them to a guy named Leonard (who didn't see me raise my hand when I wanted to ask them a question.LOL,he felt bad about it. Don't worry I forgive u.haha!!).

The concert the next day was AWESOME! They were better LIVE than they were on their videos. The bold sharing of Jesus in the concert was AMAZING too!! I was impacted in a way through their concert. TODAY, just when I woke up, I just felt a strong urge to be a BIG influence in the lives of MILLIONS. Of course I've wanted to be a speaker like Nick Vujicic & share about the HOPE that is in Jesus, but I never considered the possibility of me touching millions. Janice & Sonia's coming here to Malaysia have me decide to do the best that I can by His grace & aim to go around the WORLD sharing about His love & how He has changed my life!

I feel a bit sad that I did not use the many chances that I had to talk to them or make an impact in their lives. Mostly because I was too shy when there were just so many people just trying to get to them. I stayed at the corner instead. But I have faith that I'm gonna meet them again next time & that time I'm gonna share my life personally with them.

Thanks to everybody who chipped in for this lovely birthday gift! sorry can't mention all of u here cuz some of ur writings are just too "fancy" I can't read your names. LOL!! Thanks so much tho!! Love you all!!^^

Janice, with the coolest shaker in the world. XD

Got another signed T-shirt on top of my bday present, thanks to the host of the night, Jin from Hitz.fm!! Wooohooo!!^^

Janice & Sonia, hope to see you both again one day! The next time, I'd love to share my life personally with the both of you. For now,I pray that you've been blessed by my sharing in the card. You've truly made my birthday the most memorable one so far. But the greatest present this year wasn't that. The greatest birthday gift that I can get this year, is to know that I have encouraged the both of you, even in the slightest way. I really do hope so you both are. Keep it up girls. Show the world that there is HOPE in Jesus Christ our LORD and SAVIOUR! Til' we meet again, jumpa lagi!! God bless =)

Wake Up and Dream. The Time is NOW!!

EARC(East Asia Regional Conference) 2011 ended more than 3 weeks ago! =( I was so busy I only have the chance to write it now. It was such a great blessing to be able to come together as different people, with different tongues, race, culture & background, all praising and worshiping the same God!

It was a whole new experience to be grouped together with people from different nations & tongues. The most ironic thing of all was that never before have I, in any conferences or camps, clicked with my group mates so well & so instantly as this. The first time it happened was at this conference, where we come from different parts of the world with such different backgrounds.

Our theme for EARC was "Wake up and Dream. The Time Is Now." A rather weird title to me at first. Wake up & DREAM?? "Come on, go home & sleep if you wanna dream." That's what people always tell me when I tell them something that seem too ridiculous to be true. I guess that's why we don't dare to have big dreams anymore.

I want to IMPACT the people around me. I want to make a DIFFERENCE in the lives of many. I want to make a CHANGE in this NATION. With all that is happening in Malaysia now, it seems too hard; almost impossible that a mere one person can make much difference at all. All the corruption, the injustice, the oppression & the abuse of power. It seems like a far off dream to be able to change all these. Many of my friends say that it's no point trying to do anything, cause it won't happen. They opted to migrate to another "better" country.

What I've learned from the conference is that if God can use Haggai to restart the building of God's temple & change the whole nation, then why can't He use us as well? I believe God will not just use one man (though He can) to change this nation because He will put in many of us the burden to make a change in this nation, however He will NOT overlook a person just because He is ONE man or one woman. Each one of us matter in the "rebuilding" of the temple of God in the hearts of many in our respective nations. If only each one of us are willing to lay down a BRICK each for the rebuilding work. I'm sure we will make a BRIDGE that will unite everyone in this nation.

SO, wake up!! Dare to DREAM!! The time is NOW!! Let's make a change & BE the change the our nations need, regardless of which countries we are from. One day, we will see each other again & we will share how God moved our nations massively. Be sure of it!  ;)

p/s: One other thing that made my time there in Singapore memorable has definitely got to be my lovely group members from Group 25 (or rather 2 Five 2 Furious!! XD ). I miss each one of u guys. Our awesome group leader & my finest student(for wheelchair): Miss Grace (Thailand), another Grace in the group(Malaysia), our awesome Singaporean delegate Gabriel, the 2 other "confused" Singaporean delegates who are not from Singapore: John (Malaysia) & Yachincha (Indonesia), the shy but definitely not what she portrays: Miss Immas (Indonesia), the funny guy in the group: Steven (Hong Kong) & last but not least, the sweetest member in our group: Miwa (Japan).

I love you guys & you all really taught me a lot. I really did appreciate the time we had together & I praise God for each one of YOU!! You guys (and girls) are AWESOME!!! 2 Five 2 Furious!! RAWR!!!! =D
Till we meet again, I'll keep you in my prayers ;)

Making the DIFFERENCE

I can't believe that the past few days were real. It all just happened so fast & before I know it,I'm already learning so much from Hannah. I really really wanna thank God for providing such an AWESOME opportunity for me to work with the greatest people I could possibly find. What are we doing you may ask? I can't tell you what we are doing yet but it's DEFINITELY something that will make a very big IMPACT in the society

We call it "The Next Big Thing" because we believe that what we are doing is gonna save many lives, change how people live & making a difference in the world that we are living in. I am really REALLY excited to work with them & I can't wait for God to use me to start MAKING THE DIFFERENCE in the lives of many people for His glory!!

So,what I want to ask is that EVERYONE can continue to PRAY for us that we will make this dream of ours & the vision of changing lives come true!! We really really need your partnership in prayer. Let's make a difference together!!

p/s:I really thank God for leading me to a thing that I'd NEVER expected I'll be involved in. Ultimately I thank Him for allowing me to be used to impact lives & making the difference in the lives around me,not just in the Christian "circle" . Thank you Lord!! =D

pp/s:If you listen carefully, you can actually hear me GASP in shock when Hannah said she's gonna show me speak...LOL!!! Fail!!! ><" Remember,PRAY FOR US!!! =D

R.I.U.T (Risk It. U-Turn)!!

Just came back from the 6 day National Conference: Risk It. U-Turn (R.I.U.T.) in Port Dickson and I would say that it was AWESOMENESS!!! The 6days was PACKED from morning til night but at the same time I feel myself getting more refreshed as the days went by. This conference is really something different. One thing about believers from all over Malaysia, some even from Korea, Africa & other foreign countries, ALL worshiping our God in UNITY makes it an UNFORGETTABLE experience.

This conference is much more "calm" as compared to certain camps that I went that gives the "spiritual hype" that  later on dies down. Nonetheless, it's impact is great, if not GREATER. It's gives me a clearer perspective of God's heart for the people of this world and my role in MAKING A DIFFERENCE in this nation. To walk against the social norms of this world that is not His will. God has put in my heart a burden to stand up against INJUSTICE when I see it happen, a burden to do my part in making this country a better nation by voting, to rise up against CORRUPTION, RACISM, OPPRESSION. Most of all, He taught me how to LOVE my neighbours more than I have before. To learn to LOVE like He does, not like I do.

Some of the highlights for me in NC:
1. More than 400 people from all around Malaysia came for this conference!! There's even a group of Koreans who came to Malaysia just for this conference!! AWESOMENESS!!! =)

2. Met tonnes of new friends, some mean a lot to me. Had tonnes of fun with my groupmates: Lyon, Jared,Bryan,Jessamine,Jee Leng,Kelly and Jacqueline. Really wanna thank God for each one of the friends that I've made in NC. Thank you Jeremy & William for the SHOULDERS during worship. HahahaXD.

3. Awesome time of FUN playing Frisbee during breaks with the gang of Frisbee people(Sophia, King, CK, etc.) . Made some of my most cherished friends in NC just through Frisbee. Really appreciate them for letting me lay & teaching me patiently. Thank God that I met Jane ("this" Jane) there who has encouraged me a lot through out the NC.

4.I wont forget the 1st person who gave me a smiley that encouraged me during NC. Thanks again Sue Jane for the smiley. Also thanks everyone else who gave me a smiley too. Jane Wee, Carmen... The smileys I got from NC is one of the things I cherished most from my experience in NC.

5. The Bible exploration by Dr. Thomas Chung was really a GREAT blessing to me & made a great impact in my experience there in NC. Go for GOLD baby!!~ XD

6. A very HONEST sharing from Haris Ibrahim really touched me a lot. His opinion of what is happening in this country, as a Malay, as a Muslim but MOST OF ALL as a MALAYSIAN FIRST. His courage to stand and voice out against injustice, oppression and racism despite threats and challenges was really inspiring. It was an eye opening sharing that puts a burden in my heart to stand against INJUSTICE and fighting RACISM.

7. All the time that Annette was on stage giving the R.I.U.T. report, making jokes, giving announcements and even the time when she officially hands her post over as she moves on to a new journey in IFES was a blessing to me throughout the NC. Annette is really one of a kind. She can still make people laugh at the most touching of situations. LOL

8. The WHOLE NC itself was one of the best thing that happened to me. No words could sum up how much this 6 days has been a blessing to me. I just pray that now that I'm back here to "reality", I could stand strong and MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the community around me and then the nation.

What will you do when you realized that you've been driving in the wrong direction? Will you continue driving straight? Or Risk It? Make a U-Turn that is NECESSARY in LIFE?

Risk It. U-Turn. R.I.U.T!!!!

Saviour, please

Savior, please take my hand
I work so hard, I live so fast
This life begins, and then it ends
And I do the best that I can, but I don't know how long it'll last

I try to be so tough
But I'm just not strong enough
I can't do this along, God I need You to hold on to me
I try to be good enough
But I'm nothing without Your love
Savior, please keep saving me

Savior, please help me stand
I fall so hard, I fade so fast
Will You begin right where I end
And be the God of all I am because You're all I have

Hallelujah
Everything You are to me
Is everything I'll ever need
And I am learning to believe
That I don't have to prove a thing
'Cause You're the one who's saving me

-Saviour, please (Josh Wilson)-

A song that helped me so much when I really needed something to hold on to in the midst of so much chaos. Described me so well. I try to be so tough when in reality I'm just not strong enough. I thought I could hold on to Him with my own strength. Instead, He held on to me. SO, I really pray that you my SAVIOUR, please keep saving me. A real blessing getting to hear this song.

Just wanna thank Jo Kym for putting this song in her blog. I wouldn't have heard this song if not for that. The rest of the songs are really really encouraging too. It really blessed me a lot at the time when I really needed it. Thank you SO much!!! And of course, THANK YOU, my SAVIOUR!!!

BREAK me...Mould me...

"Lord, please BREAK me & MOULD me into the person that you intend me to be." That is the prayer of many Christians as well as mine. Well, in my case the statement can be quite literal at times.

I fell down from my chair yesterday(Wednesday) & landed right on my butt. Since I don't have much "meat" there, my tail bone (coccyx) got the full impact. I ended up breaking it. Man, it's been a while since I've really broken a bone, and I sure don't enjoy it one bit. I called an ambulance & was discharged a few hours later. Apparently, the only thing I can do if I break my coccyx is to let it be & wait for it to heal. But I really thank God that I didn't need any surgery or something like that.

For all the times that God has "broken" me (both literally & also in spiritual sense), I really do hope that I will learn to be moulded by Him more and more each time. I pray that even in my pain; not just physically but in every aspect of life; I can give out a ray of light that is called HOPE. One of the nurses there yesterday said to her colleague that I was very strong-willed & filled with fighting spirit. I really do wish that she would be able to see more than that. To see that the HOPE that I have, and the STRENGTH that I show does not come from me, but from my Heavenly Father who is always there for me.

I really thank God for allowing that to happen to me. It reminded me of how God intend to use my life as a testimony of His grace, mercy & LOVE. Praise Him also that I felt much better this morning. I couldn't even sit the night before but it was amazing how I was able to sit today and move around more freely (though much slower). So, I do pray that He will continue break & mould me into a person and a TESTIMONY of His GREATNESS. Hopefully He doesn't do it LITERALLY

P.S: Also, thank you all who were very concerned about my condition. Sorry to scare you all. I really do appreciate each one of you.

God bless. =)

19 years of Blessings & counting...

I just wanna thank all those who wished me Happy Birthday, especially Uncle Moon & the family that took the effort of buying a cake & celebrating for me & my housemates who sang a birthday song for me. I'm now 19 years old (I know I'm OLD)!!

I've never had this thought before but this time, I just wondered why are birthdays so special to me (and to almost everyone on earth)? Almost everyone will be excited when their birthday comes (except those who hate being a year OLDER). To me, I used to look forward to the gifts, the celebrations & most of all the attention, especially if it's from the ones I care the most. Somehow, my birthday is the only day of the year that I feel...SPECIAL.

This year, I somehow have a different perspective. Other than being "special" on my birthday, most of all my birthday means that I've experienced yet another year of God's abundant blessings. From the very day I was born until this very moment, I've lived solely on His blessings, His grace & His love; even during all the years that I never knew Him. Of course I still love the gifts, the celebrations & the wishes from my friends & family, but this time around, I want to remember my birthday as a commemoration of another year of living in the BLESSINGS of my Heavenly Father. Everything else falls second place to that.

So, I just want to thank those of you who remembered my birthday, and for those who didn't, it's okay. It's not like you can remember everyone's birthday, right? I feel special because I know I am loved & most of all, I've been experiencing 19 years of blessings & counting...

P.S: Also, Happy Birthday  to Xin Xin(21st Oct), Leong Eng & Loon Tat(22nd Oct), Eu-Gene & Daniel Phang (23rd Oct)...GOD bless you all =)
The one I waited for didn't come =(. Nah Never mind ;)

The ROLE of a LIFETIME..(Letters To GOD)

When I was young, I used to get laughed at by my schoolmates cause I was in a baby stroller & I get carried by my mum wherever I go. I remember very clearly how I heard that some of my classmates would laugh at me behind my back. It didn't feel very nice at all. I've never really thought of what to do with my life at the time. All I cared about was to somehow find a way to survive from all the laughs & the humiliation of my disability. All I wanted was just to be....normal.

I realize it now that I wasn't born with a disability for no reason or by accident. I am handpicked by God for the ROLE of a LIFETIME. I am HANDPICKED by Him to be His WARRIOR; not a warrior that fights with violence & brute strength, but a warrior who is full of truth, love, humility & righteousness. Maybe when people see how I've been strong in facing the challenges in my life, they'll look into their's as well. That way, they'll turn to Jesus & finally see the TRUTH.

Many times I lose sight of this purpose & live my life as though God's work did not happen in my life. I am reminded just now of how significant my life is in glorifying Him & changing the lives of people around me.

YOU are HANDPICKED by God too!!! YOU have the ability to become His WARRIORS too & to inspire the people around you!! So, don't ever feel that your life is insignificant or think that God's purpose for you is any smaller than other people's. YOU are HANDPICKED by HIM for the ROLE of a LIFETIME, ya know?? ;)

Was inspired by this movie...Really worth watching...
-HOPE is CONTAGIOUS-

Hope you were blessed by this.

M-A-S-S-I-V-E!!!

Bethany's M-A-S-S-I-V-E Carnival was AWESOME!!! I was too tired yesterday so I'm writing it today. Reached Sri Lethia a bit late at around 10.30. I was involved in face painting & i had Loretta as my first customer of the day!! Katrina & Jo Kym was next in line. Face painting went way better than I expected. Really enjoyed painting people's faces^^. Joyce, Felicia & Jason did an AWESOME job with the face painting and boy art!! Kids & adults alike love their awesome designs. Rebekah & her friends' nail painting was selling like hot cakes. Practically painting people's nails non- stop the whole day! WOW!!

The whole carnival was a success!! Many people came & we had loads of fun with the games, the food, jumble sale, face painting, nail painting & tonnes more!! Definitely the most fun I've had throughout my semester break. Well, except the part where I injured my leg halfway through the carnival of course. Thank God I bandaged it up so that it wasn't as painful & I managed to go through the whole carnival as if nothing happened!! Really grateful to God for granting us good weather, great fellowship & MASSIVE opportunities to serve Him in different ways!!

My models for face painting^^..(From left) Loretta, Katrina Jo Kym..thanks girls =)

Happy Birthday Malaysia!! (To Zanne, Jordan & Sarah too^^)

A friend of mine said, and I quote, "Back when we were younger, the "RACE" issue was about who can run the fastest."

It is very true what he said. I could remember when I was younger, I don't remember having the "race issue" with any of my friends in school. I grew up in a national school, with lots of Malay and Indian friends & many of them were my best friends. Back then, we just seem to look at people as equals & the same. Sounds naive huh? Maybe being naive is not a BAD thing after all.

As I grew up, I start to see lots of stuff I've never thought of before about other races. All the commotion about the "race issue" by adults around me slowly but definitely causes a great impact in the nation. I see lots of my Chinese friends dreaming of leaving this country & start a better life overseas, away from this "unfair" country. All of a sudden, Malaysia doesn't seem to be as "perfect" as I've always thought it was when I was younger.

Sounds depressing? Well, I still BELIEVE that there is HOPE for MALAYSIA. Little gestures of kindness by people, the friendships between little children without a care about their races, & most of all, God's promises secures my faith in a better future for Malaysia. I truly believe that one day, we'll be able to see a Malaysia that is like how we see it when we were younger.

I have faith that as a Christian, if I, along with the rest of my brothers & sisters in Christ, would humble ourselves & SEEK His face, HE will surely come & heal OUR land. So, let's continue to have faith in this country that God has blessed us with. Be blessed, & have a HAPPY MERDEKA!!!

P.S: Happy Birthday to some of my friends too. A very Blessed Birthday to Zanne (on the 29th) & our Merdeka babies, Jordan & Sarah. Be blessed & continue to make a difference in this country with the testimony of LOVE that God has blessed EACH of YOU with. Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALAYSIA!!

-> HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU GUYS...LOVE U ALL =)

A Little "Push" Along the Way

I was just sitting around & a thought just came to me which really made me wanna post this up as a token of GRATITUDE to the people God has put in my life.

I just really wanna thank God for putting many WONDERFUL people in my life who had made great impact in me & in my walk with Him. I've come to realize that God has and will always put people in my life to give me a little "push" when I feel as if I can't go any further. Recent incidents of how a friend encouraged me instead when I was initially intending to encourage the person in the first place (Really thank you for that...), really made me realize that help may come from unexpected people and places.
There are so many more people people that God has put in my life to help me when I was down, so many that sometimes I might no even realize it. In the same way, I really pray that I too can be that little "push" that would help a friend who's in need of encouragement, a lost soul who just wants comfort or even a college guard who's in need of a smile :). Thank YOU, Lord!

We may need a little "push" along the way sometimes,
and it may come from places we least expect it.
